Tom "Wonka" Barnhart and the Toy Factory

Here's a memory from the old days. It was the summer of 1978....my first summer. Near the end of camp Tom pulled me aside and asked if I'd like to do a little shopping with him? For this shopping spree we would need to take the Little International. How could I refuse.......thought I???? Off we went to the North Hollywood area to of all places a Toys are Us. Tom told me to buy toys and games that are kids liked to play. You name it we bought it. We even bought those ping pong tables that delighted friends and foes alike. We filled up that Little International from top to bottom. A HUGE smile comes to my face every time I think of time and I driving home in that bus with smiles from ear to ear. I think we even had some umpa lumpa's help us carry the goods to the bus.
