Elizabeth (Bourgeois) Von Busch's Day Camp Memories

This was the first year of the CIT program. I was fortunate enough to be in the first group along with some other well known Day Camp regulars including Greg Brown and Chuck Lockman. Can anyone remember some others? Anyway, the CIT group was run by Pam Richmond. I remember thinking how great she was. Stephanie Jones also contributed quite a bit. Anyone know how children are like playdough??? We went back-packing at the Kern River. We hated it! And yet, somehow, Ron talked me into going back again the next year! The last night of the trip, we had to sleep all by ourselves with the next person about 100 yards away! I seem to remember hearing that Ron woke up in the middle of the night with ants all over and in his sleeping bag! It could just be a rumor, though.

Although, I don't think I was a very good CIT, I know the program was valuable because I went on to become the director of Youngers several years later! As I would work with and train new CITs, it would help to remember how far I had come. Thanks Pam and Steph!
